Head Instructor, Lance Campbell received his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in 2014, from professor Steve Oliver (3rd Degree Black Belt) of New Zealand Top Team.
He has been training and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the last 18 years, with a strong focus on creating an environment and culture where everyone is welcomed, supported and encouraged to reach their maximum potential.
When not on the mats Lance serves as a committee member, referee and assistant coach for the Katikati Wildcats Wrestling club and believes that all grapplers should incorporate Wrestling in their overall training schedule, as a way to enhance and strengthen one's Jiu Jitsu and Grappling repertoire. He also enjoys time with family and watching his kids play netball and rugby, reading, riding his motorcycle on weekends, along with other leisurely activities.
Lance has both New Zealand National and Oceania titles in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Submission Grappling, along with International accolades and is still an active competitor.
He is most proud of the Whanau friendly club that both he and wife Kylie have developed with the support from an amazing group of members, both families and individuals.
Global Jiu Jitsu Health & Fitness is made up of a team of people whom all contribute in growing and fostering the terrific club culture where everyone is valued and respected regardless of ethnicity, religion or gender.
