Head Instructor, Lance Campbell received his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in 2014, under professor Steve Oliver (3rd Degree Black Belt) of New Zealand Top Team.
He has been training and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the last sixteen years with a strong focus on creating an environment and culture where everyone is welcomed, supported and encouraged to reach their true potential.
When not on the mats Lance serves as a committee member, referee and assistant coach for the Katikati Wildcats Wrestling club and believes that all grapplers should incorporate Wrestling in their overall training schedule as it will only enhance and strengthen their entire Jiu Jitsu and Grappling repertoire.
Lance has both New Zealand National and Oceania titles in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Grappling, along with International accolades and is still an active competitor.
He is most proud of the Whanau friendly club that both he and wife Kylie have developed with the support from an amazing group of members, both families and individuals.
Global Jiu Jitsu Health & Fitness is made up of a Team of people whom all contribute in growing and fostering the terrific club culture where everyone is valued and respected regardless of ethnicity, religion or gender and whether it's teaching kids or adults how to defend themselves against bullying, preparing for competition, improving your fitness or providing situational awareness to common unprovoked assaults then come in and see Lance and the Team.
