Lance Campbell was awarded his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt in 2014 by Professor Steve Oliver, a 3rd Degree Black Belt. With over 21 years of experience in training and teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Lance is dedicated to helping individuals of all ages. Together with his family, he has established an academy that fosters a welcoming, supportive, and encouraging environment, emphasizing a strong sense of Whānau (family). Outside of the mats, Lance enjoys spending quality time with his family, cheering on his children as they participate in netball and rugby, as well as indulging in his hobbies of reading, motorcycle riding, fishing, and traveling.
Lance's accomplishments in the sport are noteworthy, featuring New Zealand National and Oceania Championship titles, consecutive Pan Pacific Championship silver and bronze medals, and recently 2-time World Champion in both Gi and No Gi categories of the masters division at the 2024 SJJIF World Championships held in Nagoya, Japan.
