Here at Global Jiu-Jitsu Academy, we deliver our programs via a method of teaching techniques, tools, and standards developed over the last decade.
Our programs use essential building blocks that will aid, empower, and equip you with a combination of skills as you progress through any of our programs, including Wrestling, Submission Grappling, or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

​KIDS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU
​Our program structure is a framework defining the path of each student and the relationships between classes, student rank, and prerequisites. They are designed to teach children from ages 5-14yrs old the fundamental concepts and ideas of Jiu-Jitsu in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Self-defence is a crucial component of this program, and all children will obtain a good understanding of these concepts while also making new friends, learning, and developing great character and life skills. Our programs will help improve your child's confidence, behaviour, and social skills while providing them with an excellent self-defence base. BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU FUNDAMENTALS
​This program is designed for individuals with zero or limited Jiu-Jitsu experience, combining techniques and drills to challenge and stimulate physical, technical, and mental development. This program forms the foundations of the most common basics and prepares the student for mastery in the advanced program. Our program is a 12-week block course combining self-defense, sport jiu-jitsu, drills, and physical activity. The classes are one hour long, beginning with a warmup, technique demonstrations, and partner drilling. ADVANCED BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU
Having completed the fundamentals program, you are now ready to participate in the advanced program, which represents the next step towards the expert level of training and is designed to incorporate live sparring, technical drilling, and more advanced techniques. This program is ideal for adults and youth ages 15 and up who want to master Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. One pre-requisite is that the student must have completed the 12-week fundamentals program first. ​What you can expect from this Program. - Prepares the individual for their journey towards mastery and achieving the Black Belt. - Improved fitness. - Provides advanced technique in sport jiu-jitsu and grappling. - Friendship and support. - Improved resilience. - Development of mental toughness. - Development of perseverance skills. - Development of problem-solving skills. - Improved confidence and self-esteem. - Live sparring. - Competition experience.
WRESTLING | NO-GI GRAPPLING
At Global Jiu-Jitsu Academy, we understand the importance of wrestling in all forms of grappling. For this reason we have a program every Monday from 6:00 to 7:00pm. We also run a No-Gi Grappling program, which combines Wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu every Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:00pm. These programs are ideal for adults and youth ages 15 and up who want to enter the world of Freestyle Wrestling, No-Gi Grappling, or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition. Rugby or League players who want to improve their tackling skills will also benefit from these programs, as will the lifestyle person who wishes to improve their fitness and overall conditioning.
